Notes: Amherst Winery is located in the middle of the Goldfields region of central Victoria and very close to the Pyrenees wine growing district. Amherst is the site of the first official gold find in Victoria and the surrounding alluvial gold diggings bear testament to the history of the area. The wines made are full bodied, and can be purchased at the door. A newly-built bed and breakfast cottage is also available for short or long-term stays.
